Welcome!
So you've found my hangout, great! If you LOVE animals, LOVE your family, LOVE genealogy and family history...and tend to be a free thinker (and a little bit radical at times; my political pendulum can swing pretty wildly...might be a hormone issue, who knows?)....then welcome to my place!
As you can see from the picture above, ferrets are one of my passions. I am the managing director of Northern Arizona Ferret Alliance & Rescue and have been in the rescue business for almost 7 years now. I am also a veterinary technician student and can be found volunteering my time at my favorite veterinarian's office, Alta Sierra Veterinary Hospital (shout out to my girls!). And...when I'm not working with animals, I am working with people to help them put together their family history. I have been a genealogist for more than 30 years, research is definitely my 'thing'. I am also a medically retired law enforcement officer (what a ride that was!)...I've been out of the business since '06, so no, I won't sign off any tickets.
I would be remiss if I didn't mention that I am also the mother of 5 adult kids (my oldest son died in 1993), grandmother of 12 beautiful children, and an aunt and great aunt to a whole bunch of nieces and nephews. Oh yeah, the best part...I am a wife...to the most amazing man in the world.
